Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy lived from1845-1847 in Königsstr.3 Leipzig.
Today, in 12, Goldschmidtstr. you'll find F. Mendelssohn Bartholdys last residence and the place where he died. It has been preserved in its original 19th century state. You'll see many precious objects: original furniture, autograph letters and sheets of music, first printings of his own works, water colours by Mendelssohn and portraits.
The house in the style of late classicism is surrounded by a historical garden.
